The Holistic RN & Company is Alberta’s innovative nurse-led health and wellness clinic, where we bridge the gap between western medicine and holistic healing to help our clients become their healthiest and happiest selves by actually getting to the root cause of their problems, rather than just using a band-aid approach to health.

Here’s the problem: Right now Alberta’s health care industry is in dire straights- there is currently an average wait of 6-12 weeks for a doctor’s appointment- and a wait of 27.4 weeks for a specialist appointment.

Our emergency departments are overrun with wait times of 3 or more hours for medical emergencies, and people are getting sicker than ever. When you finally do get in to see someone, it’s a five minute appointment where your concerns are not addressed, and you are handed a prescription and walked right back out the door.

What’s more, is Alberta’s current approach to health care is hyper-focused on treating the symptoms- and not the cause. Think of it like this: when you have a light go off on your vehicle dash, you have two options to fix it. Find the problem or unplug the light. Our current healthcare system is too focused on unplugging the light. We believe in finding the problem instead.

At The Holistic RN & Company, we believe there is a different way to approach health- one where the client is heard, understood, and given control over their own health. We help our clients explore what is going on in their lives and help them make changes to their nutrition, lifestyle factors, stress levels and more, so that they can get to the root cause of their symptoms, heal their bodies, and feel their absolute best.

We do this by providing services like intolerance testing, expert health coaching, and customized health programs to help clients understand their bodies and take realistic, effective and targeted steps towards their goals. By layering in changes and helping the client shift their way of thinking, we are automatically increasing their chances of success.

What’s more, is by helping individuals get healthier, we are also automatically reducing the strain on our emergency departments and doctors clinics.
