Green Goddess Smoothie

There is nothing quite like a refreshing smoothie to quench your thirst, boost your energy and help you continue your efforts towards your goals.

However, if there is one thing I’ve found, it’s this: green smoothies tend to turn people off.

I’m not sure exactly when this started, but I’m happy to burst that bubble today. Green signals the colour of health, sure. But it doesn’t have to mean that it’s boring or that it is lacking in flavour.

This smoothie has quickly become one of my favourites- in fact, it’s actually one of our smoothies in our food truck. Not only is it surprisingly sweet and delicious, but it is also packed with health promoting goodness and is protein powder free.

Of course, if protein powder is your jam, you can certainly add it. But I think you will find that this smoothie is incredibly delicious on its own.

Hope you enjoy!

Green Goddess Smoothie

Prep Time

Cooking Time
N/A

Yields
1 Serving

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 banana
  • 1 date (pitted)
  • 2-4 tbsp hemp hearts
  • large handful spinach (roughly 1/2 cup packed)
  • 1/2 cup pure orange juice with pulp
  • 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1: Combine all ingredients in blender until mixed well.

NOTES

I’ll sometimes add in a tsp of ashwagandha powder and/or alma berry power for an additional boost. This only changes the flavour slightly, but definitely increases the overall health factor!

Give it a try and let me know what you think!

With love,

Brianne xx
