TRAUMA RELEASE WEEKEND RETREAT

Are you ready babe?

Here’s the truth- trauma is real, it’s raw, and it’s present in each and every one of us.

What is trauma? Well, it’s everything we’ve been through in our lifetime that has negatively altered or impacted our beliefs about ourselves, our environment, the world and every dam thing in it.

It could have been the loss of a loved one, the loss of a child, an embarrassing moment, an accident, an injury, being abused/bullied/neglected/cheated on/fired or hurt in some way.

Trauma could be everything and anything, big or small.

What’s worse, is that the process of healing is no joke. In all honesty, it’s the hardest thing that we will ever do in our lifetime.

And most won’t ever go through the process.

But not you.

That changes for you now.

In just two days you are going to find the strength to overcome everything that you have been through and learn how to heal fully, in an intimate group of amazing women who are doing the exact same thing.

This environment is unlike anything you’ve ever been in before- it’s supportive, loving, non-judgmental and the exact space you need to go through this process.

INTRO TO TEEN HEALTH- A HOLISTIC APPROACH

October 5th & 7th, 4 pm - 7 pm

Stony Plain, AB

A fun and informative workshop to provide girls with the information we wish we had when we were navigating our adolescent years.
 
Feeling lost? Constantly searching for information to help make sense of your transition through adolescent years?
 
These times can be tricky to work through on your own, with so many sources of information these days it’s hard to know what is best. Taylor has created this workshop to help provide information that will guide participants to make informed decisions about their health.
 
Our holistic approach to these uncertain topics will give you confidence in your decisions. By implementing these important changes early on, we will set you up to being well on your way to becoming the happiest and healthiest, you.
 
This workshop has been created from Taylor’s original workshop, The Holistic Approach to Teen Health, as a introductory workshop geared towards girls who are reaching or have entered puberty more recently to learn about the changes going on within their bodies. We will approach topics in a very open, non-judgmental way to create a safe space for young girls to have the opportunity to learn and understand this transition that has become such a hush topic, which makes it so darn scary for them.
 
Topics include:
  • How Our Body is Changing- Brief introduction to hormones and the way they impact the changes we see and feel. We will discuss the changes that occur, physically, mentally and emotionally and the normalcy of these things so that they are able to navigate through these uncertain times with more confidence having the knowledge and resources to help them.

  • Mental Health- We will discuss the importance of taking care of our mental health, how it may be altered as we grow, and steps or activities they can use to help work through hard times.

  • Body Image- An important topic especially in a world of social media, knowing how to navigate our feelings and rid negativity is crucial. We will do a mirror activity and practice affirmations.

  • Intuitive Eating- Bringing basic knowledge and awareness to dietary needs, as well as providing small easy ways to enhance their nutrition and improve over all health. Bringing awareness that this age in our lives is fundamental to set-up our bodies overall chance at optimal health throughout our lives.

  • Safe Menstruation Products – The lining of our vaginal wall is extremely sensitive, so using products that do not disrupt the important functions that occur within a healthy vagina.

Plus: A safe and judgement-free space for questions and conversations to occur.

& One on one support to participants during and after the workshop with Holistic Nurse and Student Life coach, Taylor (consent required from guardian if under 18).

A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO NAVIGATE YOUR TEEN'S HEALTH (GUARDIAN EVENT)

October 12th & 13th, 6 pm - 9 pm

Stony Plain, AB

A fun and informative workshop to provide parents/guardians of girls with information to help navigate their teens health.
 

Feeling lost? Constantly searching for information to help your teen as they navigate through uncertain times?

Taylor created this workshop for parents or guardians, or anyone who would like to gain information towards teen health. This workshop has been created from a Holistic Health standpoint to help bring awareness to many areas that impact the overall health and well being of the young ladies in your life.

Taylor created this workshop to allow the opportunity for women who have one or multiple girls in their lives transitioning through puberty to be able to provide some helpful insight to guide and make these uncertain times easier. The information in this workshop is also able to be utilized by the attendees to increase health and happiness within their own lives.

Topics include:
  • How Their Body is Changing- Brief introduction to hormones and the way they impact the changes we see and feel. We will discuss the changes that occur, physically, mentally and emotionally and the normalcy of these things so that they are able to navigate through these uncertain times with more confidence having the knowledge and resources to help them.

Bringing awareness that this age in our lives is fundamental to set-up our bodies overall chance at optimal health throughout our lives.

  • Safe Menstruation products – The lining of our vaginal wall is extremely sensitive, so using products that do not disrupt the important functions that occur within a healthy vagina.

  • Menstrual Tracking- Easy way we can get more in tune with our body

  • Birth Control- Alternative symptom management instead of masking symptoms with synthetic hormones, not persuading away from taking it if wanted but providing information to make an informed decision.
